I’m Noel Govene — a finance professional by training, a passionate woodworker by heart, and the founder of FirstCorte.
For years, I worked in high-level financial roles, managing complex systems and strategies.
But outside the boardroom, I found joy and fulfillment in something much simpler and deeply personal: woodworking. What started as a hobby quickly became a creative escape — a way to work with my hands, build something real, and reconnect with the satisfaction of making.
Over time, I realized that woodworking isn’t just about tools or timber. It’s about confidence. It’s about solving problems. And above all, it’s about proving to yourself that you can.
